Kids & Traffic

Kids & Traffic is an early childhood road safety education program funded by the NSW government’s Roads and Traffic Authority. It aims to achieve improvements in young children’s safety in the short term and develop safe community attitudes to road use in the long term.

Risk Frontiers

Formerly known as the Natural Hazards Research Centre, Risk Frontiers is a not for profit organisation sponsored by the Australian Insurance community. Risk Frontiers is a world leader in quantitative natural hazards risk assessment and risk management.

GEMOC

Geochemical Evolution and Metallogeny of Continents (GEMOC) addresses large scale problems related to lithosphere evolution and understanding the relevance of different types of crust mantle domains to area selection for mineral exploration. It also addresses whole-mantle perspectives of geodynamics, far-field and feedback effects on the lithosphere that shape Earth’s crust on which we live, and planetary studies that relate to earth’s formation, differentiation and geochemical / geodynamic evolution.

MULTILIT

Making Up Lost Time In Literacy (MULTILIT) is a research based initiative of the Macquarie University Special Education Centre which aims to address the needs of older students with reading disabilities and similar problems from Year 2 to high school age by providing an intensive, structured, systemic program of instruction in reading and related skills carried out within a Positive Teaching environment.

STaR

Special Teaching and Research (STaR) is a community based project which enables infants and young children with disabilities or special learning needs to receive effective instruction.

The Emotional Health Clinic of Macquarie University's Centre for Emotional Health (CEH) is a specialist clinical unit dedicated to furthering research into the nature and treatment of child, adolescent and adult anxiety disorders.

ARIES

Australian Research Institute in Education for Sustainability (ARIES) is primarily funded by the Australian government’s Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and Arts. ARIES undertakes research in Education for Sustainability across various sectors including business and industry, local government education, community education, school, further and higher education.

The Indigenous higher education school to university pathways project aims to provide Indigenous students in NSW with the motivation and skills to complete their HSC and the confidence and ability to enter and succeed in tertiary education.
