Access Macquarie Ltd (Access MQ) is the commercial development company of Macquarie University. Our purpose is to aid the development, practical application and impact of the University's research in the community.
As the University’s commercial development company, we have been contributing to the development, practical application and impact of the University’s research in the community for almost 20 years.
Through Access MQ, the University is engaged at the highest levels with government, industry and education partners.
- All research contracts and other research-related agreements with Macquarie University, such as collaborative agreements, confidentiality deeds, and materials transfer agreements and licence agreements are administered through us.
- We provide commercial and legal support to University researchers and students engaging in commercial activities, including contract research and consulting.
- We work with industry, business and government to identify and access the appropriate expertise and technology in the development of creative solutions for the commercial arena.
- Access MQ’s Project Managers will assist to scope the project, assessing market opportunities and coordinating intellectual property protection.
- Our Project Managers will also establish your pricing, negotiate and finalise the terms of your agreements and conduct risk management assessments. All of these services are available to you as a University employee, Free of charge.
Our purpose is to aid the development, practical application and impact of the University’s research in the community. We are wholly owned by the University and all income we receive is returned to the University.
